Waste electrical equipment returns (WEEE)

Waste electrical equipment returns (WEEE)

Electrical lamps must not be disposed of with unsorted household waste. The crossed-out wheeled-bin symbol means that used electrical equipment must be collected separately.

Free take-back when a new lamp is delivered in Poland

When purchasing a lamp for delivery in Poland, you may request free collection at the place of delivery of household waste electrical equipment, provided that it is of the same type and performed the same functions as the lamp being delivered.

To request take-back, email mail@lampylampylampy.pl before your order is dispatched. Include the order number, the type of old equipment and the delivery address. We will confirm the transfer method and date. Do not send used equipment without prior arrangement.

Conditions for safe handover

  • The equipment must be disconnected from the mains, complete and prepared for safe transport.
  • Remove the bulb and secure the cable and any parts that could move in transit.
  • Do not hand over equipment contaminated in a way that could endanger the health or safety of collection personnel.

Other disposal options

You may also return a used lamp free of charge to an appropriate municipal selective-waste collection point (PSZOK) or another authorised collection point. Your municipality can provide information about local facilities.

Legal basis

This information implements the distributor obligations in Article 37 of the Polish Act of 11 September 2015 on waste electrical and electronic equipment. The detailed take-back method is agreed before dispatch according to the shipment and delivery method. This page describes deliveries in Poland; sales to another country remain subject to that country's applicable take-back and EPR arrangements.
